AUDIENCE
Officers holding a Bridge Watchkeeping Officer CoC who do not meet the conditions required for sea service (or equivalent) to retain the prerogatives associated with the certificate.
PREREQUISITES
To hold a >500GT Officer in charge of a navigational watch CoC .
OBJECTIVES
Prove that professional competencies have been maintained and obtain revalidation of the certificate.
DURATION
5.5 hours over 1 day + 1/2 day to familiarise yourself with the simulator.

PROGRAMME
In accordance with Appendix 3 of the Annex to the Order of 24 July 2013:
Programme of tests and courses for the revalidation of certificates for officers in charge of a navigational watch on board ships of 500 gross tonnage or more (and officers in charge of a navigational watch on board ships of less than 500 gross tonnage not engaged in near-coastal voyages – STCW Regulation II/3)
Tests :
– SMCP English: 1/2 hour
– Merchant ship operation / Loading calculations: 1/2 hour
– Safety: 1/2 hour
– Navigation and ship handling simulator / Navigation / Meteorology / Steering rules: 4 hours
