REFRESHER – ADVANCED FIRE FIGHTING CERTIFICATE
AUDIENCE
Holders of a FP&FF Certificate (advanced firefighting qualification certificate) due to expire every five years.
PREREQUISITES
– Hold an AFF Certificate
– Hold a certificate of onboard training less than five years old, certified by the shipowner (entitles the holder to a reduced number of training hours)
– Hold a Seafarers’ health service medical fitness certificate less than 12 months old.
OBJECTIVES
Prove continued competency in accordance with the Order dated 24 July 2013 relating to the revalidation of maritime vocational training qualifications and the STCW Manila Amendment Convention of 24 June 2010.
