ENSM develops its GWO training program for September 2024
Quality training in Brittany's region
Located in Brittany, a strategic region for renewable energies, ENSM offers high-level training. With over 450 years of expertise in maritime education, the school prepares professionals for the technical and safety challenges of the offshore wind energy sector. Supervised by experienced instructors, trainees – whether wind farm workers or personnel wishing to qualify for the GWO BST standard – benefit from rigorous, hands-on teaching in line with GWO safety requirements.
Every year, almost 100 trainees take part in the modules offered by ENSM, covering essential fields such as gestures and postures, fire, first aid, working at height and survival at sea.
Practical training at CESAME in Saint-Malo
GWO training sessions are delivered at CESAME, a center for training in maritime survival and rescue at ENSM, located in the port of Saint-Malo. Trainees in small groups of 4 to 6 are trained in real-life conditions, with personalised follow-up, thanks to at-sea exercises in specialised basins. The ENSM provides a friendly atmosphere conducive to learning, reinforcing the engagement and motivation of participants.
A shared trust with partners
Major companies such as Iberdrola and OpenR rely on ENSM to train their teams to GWO safety standards. This collaboration underlines the quality and relevance of ENSM’s programs, which are perfectly adapted to the requirements of the wind energy industry.
