PRESENTATION OF THE COMPANY

The Compagnie Maritime des Iles is based in Noumea, New Caledonia, and operates a 64m LTC, the M/V ISAN, equipped for International Cabotage, which sails by the week between the mainland and the Loyalty Islands. She carries goods in bulk, containers, vehicles and/or Cl2 and Cl3 hydrocarbons.

The company is recruiting a Deck Officer (M/F).

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Deck Officer will navigate and monitor the vessel’s deck schedule under the direct authority of the Second Captain and the Captain. He/she will work closely with the engine department to carry out his/her duties.

Work schedule: 14 days at sea / 14 days off + 3 days off per month.

The working language is French.

FIXED-TERM CONTRACT – ENIM 10

Passage paid for (ticket – accommodation expenses at start of stay)

PROFILE SOUGHT

Individuals with significant experience as Deck / Navigation / Safety Officer.

Up-to-date French certification required: CFSS, CFBS, CAEERS, CQALI + minimum certificate of OCQP / OCQN or higher.

Rigour, autonomy and motivation are the qualities expected for this position.
