WaveX is a young technology start-up specialising in coastal protection and marine renewable energy (MRE). The innovative solutions developed by WaveX use wave energy to combat coastal erosion and produce low-carbon electricity.

We are planning a test campaign on the Atlantic coast from the 2nd quarter of 2025 to demonstrate our ability to move sandbanks using wave energy and to measure changes in the seabed in real time.

To accelerate our development and R&D, we are looking for a new associate with an engineering background and a passion for the marine environment to help develop our innovative technical solutions. Your role will be to organise test campaigns and, insofar as your knowledge allows, to participate in their technical and scientific development in conjunction with universities and specialist laboratories.

In the short term, you will be responsible for
– Test logistics (acceptance, testing and assembly of technical components);
– Engineering (sizing, assembling, calibrating and controlling the components of our prototypes);

– Communicating and interfacing with the stakeholders to be consulted for these tests (administrations, partner laboratories);
– Exploiting the data collected and modelling the effects of our systems on sediment profiles (or failing that, liaising with the people responsible for this).

In the longer term, your remit will also include :
– Designing and planning offshore installation operations;
– Supervision of subsea construction sites;
– Contributing to approval files, regulatory monitoring and grant applications at national and European level.

**Profile**
You have a passion for marine environments and an interest in how the sea shapes the coastline. You have a few years’ experience in these fields or are in your final year of engineering school, specialising in marine environments. Your rigour, autonomy and adaptability will be assets within our start-up.

In addition to your technical skills, your taste for marine environments, research and innovation will be key to your integration. And if you’ve got your own private island for testing, love crêpes (aka galettes) and/or know the Silver Surfer personally, we’ve already got our hearts set on you.
