JOB DESCRIPTION
As part of the fitting out of a new ship, navOcéan services is recruiting deck or engine or multi-skilled officers.

Reporting to the Commanding Officer, you will take part in both sea and dock trials, as well as the commissioning of technical installations on board a military corvette nearing completion in Lorient. You will also take part in training the future crew.

During periods on the quayside, you will be responsible for monitoring the installations in operation, organising safety drills and supervising the work of the watch crews.
You may be provided with accommodation

. During periods at sea, you will stand a bridge or engine watch.

SKILLS REQUIRED
You will have at least the unlimited watch leader’s certificate (deck or engine), you will be highly adaptable, you will have experience of working in an intercultural environment and a good level of maritime and general English.
Experience in site supervision, dockside and sea trials would be a plus.

In addition to your technical skills, your autonomy, your excellent teaching skills and your genuine desire to pass on information are essential assets in fulfilling your role.

PREREQUISITES
Must have a medical examination and all valid STCW qualifications.
