Erasmus + : French Maritime Academy student in Australia
French Maritime Academy Erasmus first student :
As part of her 2nd year Master’s Degree in Ship Eco Management in Nantes, Carla Millaud is doing her end of study project with Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore Australia.
Pioneers in safety and performance of new technologies, since 1828 Bureau Veritas is one of the leading ship classification societies with global network to support its clients.
Carla joined the engineering team to support the development of Australian marine classification exclusively for the Royal Australian Navy. She is the first ENSM student to benefit from the Erasmus + mobility programme.
The main duties of Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore Australia are to support and develop the new naval classification for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) in order to develop a new set of standard naval rules for Australia. Kudos to Carla for sharing her passion for the oceans with them, including participating in the ‘it’s what unites us’ initiative to help raise funds to protect the Ocean.
The Erasmus+ programme is also about discovering new horizons, and immersing yourself in a new culture and country!
