The École Nationale Supérieure Maritime puts international study at the heart of its training, offering its students unique opportunities to open up to the world. Whether to enrich their academic career, develop intercultural skills or build an international network. The programmes are designed to meet the challenges of the maritime sector on a global scale.

Thanks to prestigious partnerships and programmes such as Erasmus+, every student and every member of staff has the opportunity to go on a variety of assignments, do work placements abroad and take part in key international events.

Mobility opportunities for everyone

ENSM offers a wide range of international programmes to suit everyone’s aspirations. Students can take part in :

  • Academic exchanges at partner universities such as the Maritime Academy of Antwerp or the Caribbean Maritime University in Kingston.
  • Work placements ranging from 5 days to 6 months in a variety of destinations, from Germany to Australia.
  • Participation in international maritime events, such as London International Shipping Week or the Propeller Club International convention in Florida.
  • Supervised periods for research projects in Italy or educational projects in Rimouski, Quebec.

Students also benefit from funding through Erasmus+ and other support organisations.

Teachers and administrative staff can :

  • Exchange best practice with their counterparts abroad,
  • Participate in applied research projects and enrich their courses
  • Take part in teaching projects and set up training courses with teachers from other higher education establishments
  • Go abroad to teach for a fixed period.
