The Director General of the Ministry visiting the ENSM
A strategic Project
Mr Eric Banel, Director General of Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Aquaculture, with Mr Christophe Lenormand, Maritime Affairs, provided details on the strategic project, including all stakeholders, the transversal reading retained and the importance of network to enable a stronger position.
He indicated that the French Maritime Academy, the ENSM, has its rightful place in the new organization, given its important role to strengthen training capacities and to meet the demands of all branches in the sector.
Exchange with the staff
The staff in Le Havre campus, and by video, raised their questions, in particular on the status of professors, the position and status of the Academy and the recognition of foreign diplomas: “We know where we are going, we give ourselves the means, we have open discussions in order to highlight what works at the ENSM and to develop willingness”, were the reassuring words of the Director General, Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Aquaculture, who took his position ten days ago. Mr Eric Banel’s visit to Le Havre ended with a visit to the Ship-in-School Deck and Engine areas, with a promise to pay a visit to the other campuses.
