INITIAL – BASIC SAFETY TRAINING CERTIFICATE
PUBLIC CONCERNED
To carry out duties on board commercial or pleasure vessels armed with a crew role, the basic safety training certificate is required for all ‘seafarers’.
PREREQUISITES
- To have a seafarer’s number
- To have an up-to-date medical examination at the time of the course
OBJECTIVES
To achieve the minimum standard of competence required by the STCW Code 2010 A-VI/1 and table A-VI/1-2, as well as by the Order of 9 March 2015 relating to the issue of the basic safety training certificate.
