Weapons Captain

Job description and duties:
As part of the Fleet and Maritime Operations Department, you will be responsible for :
– Supervising the recruitment of seagoing personnel
– Managing crews, planning according to the functional organisation and vessel schedules, managing their embarkation and relief, monitoring their contracts, individual files, development plans, professional interviews, professional training contracts, checking payroll data.
– Keeping a regulatory watch on on-board personnel
– Ensuring that the skills of on-board personnel are consistent, monitoring their certification and drawing up the associated training plan.
– Maintaining relations with manning companies
– Ensuring that the on-board personnel budget is consistent with the objectives of operational management.
Working directly with the QHSSE Manager
-you will assist him/her in developing and monitoring the various processes in the system (safety, security, environment, CSR).
As part of the management of port operations and shipping agents,
– You will participate in the cruise creation process in collaboration with General Management, Production, Sales and Marketing, Fleet Management, Operations and QHSSE.

– You will be responsible for studying and validating the navigational constraints of the vessels and areas concerned.
You will ensure that your activities are recorded on our information system.

Profile required :
Trained as a Merchant Navy officer, you will have significant experience on board commercial vessels, ideally in the cruise sector and/or in a similar position.
Knowledge of maritime and social regulations and the transport code.
Proficiency in MS Office
Thoroughness, organisation, negotiating skills, ability to put forward proposals, team spirit, motivation to join a new company that is in the process of development.
