JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties in the Bridge Department: in addition to driving the ship, the Bridge Watch Officer will be responsible for training the students on board.

Secondary duties in the Engine Department: operating the vessel (2 x 662 kW engines), engine watch.

SKILLS REQUIRED
– Hold at least a Bridge Watch Leader certificate (3000 UMS), with an Engine Watch Leader certificate (3000kw) a plus,
– Ability to adapt to the activities of a training ship,
– Have a good sense of teaching and a real desire to pass on knowledge,
– Have already worked in an intercultural environment,
– A good level of maritime and general English,
– Good experience of coastal navigation,
– Reside in Brittany or neighbouring departments,
– Having sailed on military vessels would be a plus.

PREREQUISITES
To be in possession of a medical examination and all valid STCW certificates.
