LD Tide manages the operation and management of a fleet of 5 catamaran-type offshore maintenance vessels, used for the transport and transfer at sea of industrial personnel specialising in the maintenance of the Saint-Nazaire and Fécamp offshore wind farm facilities.
Mission
The Chief Engineer will contribute to the operational efficiency of the vessel and will be responsible for the technical operation of the vessel and keeping it in operational condition with a minimum of downtime.
Reporting to the Captain, he/she is responsible for :
Machine operation,
Organising and monitoring the maintenance of all the ship’s installations and equipment in accordance with the Company’s computer-assisted maintenance management system (CMMS),
The Mechanic ensures that good safety practices for maintenance operations (personal protection, lock-out and work permit systems) are followed by the crew and external contractors;
He/she must immediately report any non-compliance or deficiency identified to the best of his/her ability.
Job characteristics
Location: Vessel operating base in La Turballe, Saint-Nazaire, Fécamp, Lorient and Les Sables d’Olonne (during technical stoppages) / accommodation on board the vessels, on SOV or ashore provided by the shipping company.
Work schedule: 14-day/14-day rotation extended to a maximum of 3 weeks, ideal for private planning and family life.
Type of contract: Open-ended contract or fixed-term contract for a minimum of 6 months / ENIM scheme – 12th category – GASPE collective agreement IDCC 3228
Initial training :
Brevet de Chef Mécanicien 3000 kW minimum
Up-to-date safety certificates (CFBS, CQALI, CAEERS)
Experience :
Preferably offshore experience
Fluency in written and spoken English is imperative, particularly for reading technical documentation
Fluency in Pack Office (outlook, word, excel)
Up-to-date medical clearance
