Presentation of the company :

la Compagne is based in Polynesia and operates between Tahiti and Moorea 7 days a week. Its vessel, the ‘Terevau’, is a fast catamaran ferry (NGV / HSC). It is 45m long, can carry 360 passengers and 10 cars and is powered by 4 MTU engines.

Job description and skills :

Reporting directly to the Captain, the Chief Engineer will be responsible for operating the engines and ensuring the safety of the vessel on the bridge. Ensures the smooth running and maintenance of the various equipment on board (main engines, generator, air conditioning, vehicle access ramp) using the Sémaphore CMMS software. Responsible for the inventory, stock and ordering of parts needed to keep the machine running smoothly. Prepares the annual technical shutdown of the vessel.

Conditions of employment :

12-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of a permanent contract.
Regime: ENIM, 16th category
Shift pattern: 4 days/3 days
