PRESENTATION OF THE COMPANY
The Compagnie Maritime des Iles is based in Noumea, New Caledonia, and operates a 64m LTC, the M/V ISAN, equipped for International Cabotage, which sails by the week between the mainland and the Loyalty Islands. She carries goods in bulk, containers, vehicles and/or Cl2 and Cl3 hydrocarbons.
The company is recruiting a Chief Engineer (M/F) for a double crew.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Chief Engineer is responsible for the operation of the vessel and the maintenance of the machinery. He will work closely with the Technical Department to carry out his duties.
Work schedule: 2 weeks at sea / 2 weeks off.
The working language is French.
2-year fixed-term contract / or permanent contract (ENIM)
Payment of passage (ticket – personal effects and/or installation bonus)

PROFILE SOUGHT
Individuals with significant experience as Chief Mechanic or Second Mechanic.
Up-to-date French certification required: CFSS, CFBS, CAEERS, CQALI + Brevet de Chef mécanicien 3000 minimum.Rigour, autonomy and motivation are the qualities expected for this position.
