The Seine-Maritime department is involved in a variety of projects to improve the daily lives of its residents. With more than 190 different professions, its activities cover areas such as social action, facilities, ports and ferries, education and culture. We operate eight water crossings on the Seine between Rouen and the mouth of the Seine, with a fleet of 11 ferries enabling around 3.3 million vehicles to cross the Seine every year.

The ferry service is responsible for maintaining and repairing the ferries on the Seine. The team, made up of staff with mechanical, electrical and metalwork qualifications, is able to carry out repairs on its own account, during the day and outside office hours, as well as on call at weekends.

As part of this role, the department is looking for a naval ferry technician – mechanic, who will be responsible for preventive maintenance, repair and installation of mechanical equipment on board the ferries (amphidromic vessels) in the departmental fleet. You will be the technical reference in your field and show initiative in improving and maintaining on-board facilities.
