Plastic Odyssey – Head mechanic unlimited or 3000
Plastic Odyssey is recruiting – join the round-the-world adventure to combat plastic pollution!
Presentation
The M/V Plastic Odyssey, the first ship to act as an ambassador for solutions to reduce plastic pollution, left Marseille on 1 October 2022 on a 3-year expedition to 30 countries, to meet recycling entrepreneurs and develop local initiatives to reduce and recycle plastic waste.
Currently in South-East Asia, the Plastic Odyssey ship will sail from Cambodia to the Philippines, then on to India and East and South Africa before returning to France in early 2026. The ship’s programme is divided between stopovers of 2 to 3 weeks each, interspersed with cruises of 5 to 10 days depending on the area.
The ship carries a team of experts on recycling and reducing the use of plastic, and operates a demonstration workshop on board. Each crew member is strongly encouraged to take part in the plastic recycling activities as well as the workshops and trips organised during the stopovers.
