Who we are ?
A maritime court is based in Le Havre. The criminal court has special jurisdiction in
marine pollution and the protection of underwater archaeological heritage (JULIS :
specialised coastal jurisdiction), covering the Channel and North Sea coast from Dunkirk to Mont
Saint-Michel. Le Havre includes an international port (France’s leading commercial port and

Under the authority of the Chairman or his delegate, the specialist assistant will provide support in the following areas

Your duties in brief
The specialist assistant will be responsible for :
– carrying out legal research and setting up a legal watch in the fields of
general criminal litigation and specialised criminal litigation, particularly in the economic and financial field

Profile required
The specialist assistant must :
– Proof of a national diploma attesting to training of a duration at least equal to
four years of higher education after the baccalauréat
– Have at least four years’ professional experience
– Knowledge of: judicial organisation, customs law, maritime law, environmental law

– Know how to run a meeting, manage a project, listen to and collect needs and determine
objectives

– ability to manage schedules, priorities and constraints
