The training is designed for officers called upon to ship handling or have the responsability of the ship (Chief Officer, Master, etc.)

Hold at least a Chief Officer CoC.

Theoretical principles of ship handling:
- Balancing positions
- Principles of use of a ship equipped with a single shaftline with fixed blades driven by a slow diesel or two shaftlines with steerable blades driven by a semi-fast engine or propulsion by azimuth thrusters

- Ship’s ability to stop
Harbour handling with/without wind and with/without current
